ABOUT ME
After graduating from High School, I joined the Army Reserves. I went on active duty for 1 year to complete my training as a Respiratory Therapist. Upon completion of this training, I started working as a Respiratory Therapist while taking classes towards my Bachelor's Degree to pursue my life long dream of becoming a doctor.
After 2 years of working and going to school, I was called to active duty where I served 18 months at William Beaumont Army Medical Center. After completion of my active duty, I returned to work and classes, eventually earning my bachelor's degree and being accepted to medical school.
I completed residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga, TN. After residency, I entered Academic Medicine. I continue to teach and publish to improve the care all patients receive.
My professional areas of interest include Rural Medicine, Medical Education, Medical Student Wellness, Ventilator Management, and High Flow Nasal Cannula.
