After graduating from High School, I joined the Army Reserves. I went on active duty for 1 year to complete my training as a Respiratory Therapist. Upon completion of this training, I started working as a Respiratory Therapist while taking classes towards my Bachelor's Degree to pursue my life long dream of becoming a doctor.
After 2 years of working and going to school, I was called to active duty where I served 18 months at William Beaumont Army Medical Center. After completion of my active duty, I returned to work and classes, eventually earning my bachelor's degree and being accepted to medical school.
After residency, I accepted an academic position at Summa Health in Akron Ohio. I hold the appointment of Assistant Professor from Northeast Ohio Medical College and I run the clerkship at Summa Health.
My professional areas of interest include medical education, medical student wellness, and pulmonary medicine.
The focus of my research to this point has been High Flow Nasal Cannula. I have a medical student curriculum focused on Emotional Intelligence currently being prepared for publication.
